4 Ways to Improve Your Bedroom Designs: Bachelors

Bachelor-Bedroom-Sports-Posters

A Crash Course on Bedroom Designs (Part 3)

‘Plain and modern’ sits well with most men in their late 20s and early 30s. However, the essence of this post is to help you ‘OWN’ your space. It would be nice if your bedroom looked like something straight out of Home Owner magazine, but what you really want is something that is ‘uniquely you’.

1. Are You a Sports Nut?

Black Football Wall Decal

Football fans, raise your hands! While curtains with an Arsenal or CFC logo would be ‘okay’, a very vintage-looking poster or an all-black wall decal would be even better. Black-and-white photos/posters of your favourite stars or club managers are also a very nice idea. We don’t know about you, but there’s just something about looking at pictures of athletes on the move that makes you want to hit the gym or just be more productive. Do we see light bulbs going up? Thank us later!

2. Work Station

Try to keep this as simple and as organized as you possibly can. We’ve said over and over already how important wall-hung shelves are. Whether box shelves or simple wall-mounted bracket shelves, they will help keep books, files, stationery and easily misplaced items like keys and business cards in an easy-to-find spot.

3. Wall Art

Wall Art and Unconventional Window Treatments

Gentlemen, trust us on this one. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a few abstract art pieces or framed quotes or photos. These are really inexpensive ways to add interest to your space. You can print your own images and decide to handpick out the picture frames. Plain black will do.

4. Unconventional Window Treatments

We have just discovered how very unique Roman shades are (example in image above). If you want something different from window blinds or the oh-so-common plain/patterned curtains, Roman shades are the way to go! If you don’t mind intense lighting, leaving windows bare is another great option.
