Onyema Udeze – BIM and Design Automation
Onyema is the Co-founder of Blaze Inc., a BIM consultancy outfit based in Nigeria with an online Academy; and a Founding Director of ‘BIM Africa Initiative’- a pan-African, membership-based, not-for-profit organisation charged with BIM Awareness and Implementations across Africa.
He is the author of the book “Essentials of Smart Building Technology“, which is currently available on all the popular e-book stores; and an Instructor at LinkedIn Learning.
Onyema is an Architect with a vast interest in Technology Solutions in the built sector, especially those with relevant applications across Africa. He is also the host of the bi-weekly “Blaze Connected Construction” Live Series.
Ade Shokunbi
Ade Shokunbi is a British-trained Architect with more than two decades of experience in the built environment both within and outside Nigeria.
He worked for several Architectural Firms in the UK after which he set up an architectural and interior design firm called CFA Interiors.
Arc. Shokunbi moved back to Nigeria in 2006, where he along with Mr Patrick Koshoni, set up Patrick Waheed Design Consultancy Ltd. (PWDC) in Lagos, Nigeria that same year.
Babatunde Oladogba
Babatunde Oladogba is an Architect, Urban designer, TechSavvy, and Web Designer. A professional with a vast range of skills and experience in the field of architecture, landscape design, urban planning, BIM management, and web development.
He attained two degrees in Architecture from FUTA and is currently studying for a Master of Arts in Urban Design at the Technische Universität Berlin.
Babatunde Oladogba is the founder of GIArchitects, Wapmastazone & TechEmit. He is interested in art, building energy efficiency, sustainable architecture, smart cities, BIM, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computational design, as well as technology.
Mauricio Amado
Mauricio graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad del Valle de Mexico in 1987. He obtained his first registration in 1988 and a Master of Architecture from the University of Idaho in 1992.
Subsequently, he achieved his architectural license and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and a consultant with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
Among his most significant projects, we can mention his involvement in Arabia as a member of the QA/QC team with King Abdullah Financial District, the design of the Judicial Hall and Administration Complex for the Ministry of Justice, and his involvement with the Mexico City International Airport.
Victoria Ikede
Victoria Ikede is an experienced BIM Professional and Computational Product Designer that actively strives for leadership through digital innovation as the BIM Manager at ATO Architects Limited.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Nigeria and gained a master’s degree with Distinction from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom where she briefly lectured master’s Students on Virtual Reality.
She has significant expertise in Building Information Modelling, Photogrammetry, 3D printing, and Energy Simulations, Parametric/Computational Design, and is currently exploring Computational and Generative Design techniques to design and manufacture products.
Onyinye Igbokwe
Onyinye is a people manager, with a strong need to organize, motivate, lead and manage people to harness their productivity in delivering project works and solving business needs. Her years of experience spread across different sectors; IT, engineering, mining, interior architecture, and building sectors, where she worked as part of a project team, led business operations, or strategically managed people to deliver on organizations’ set objectives.
She holds a B.ENG degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Nigeria), an MSC in Construction Project Management (UK), and Advanced Project Management Certificate (USA). She is currently the Founder and Operations Lead for Ujali Ltd (a UK-based Tech Startup) and the Founding Partner at Zikora Designs LLP (A contemporary Design Studio based In the UK).
Tomi Bamgbelu
Tomi Bamgbelu regarded as Africa’s Female Tech Interior Designer is a workplace design expert and the creative director of Spazio Ideale, an interior design firm that focuses on connecting people to spaces through exceptional design and excellent execution.
With a background in technology, Tomi has a BSc. In Computer Science from Covenant University and holds a Master of Interior design degree from Florence Design Academy Italy.
Tomi served as a systems analyst at AlliedSoft, The Nigerian Stock Exchange, and proceeded as a service engineer at global telecommunication firm Ericsson. She has been featured as a young talent by the interior designers association of Nigeria and as a young entrepreneur by Punch Newspaper. Tomi Bamgbelu is passionate about entrepreneurship and birthing the potential of the Nigerian youth.
Tuoyo Jemerigbe
Tuoyo Jemerigbe is the Managing Director/Principal of Studio OLA Ltd. Over the past three years, his practice has gained momentum in the growing Architecture scene in Nigeria. He had his first degree at the prestigious University of Lagos, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Architecture and Design.
In 2001, he joined the well-renowned Architecture firm, James Cubitt Architects, and worked closely with the Principal Architect on the design, development, and execution of numerous projects including the Citibank Headquarter Victoria Island, Epe Resort & Spa, and FADE Court II in Victoria Island.
Tuoyo Jemerigbe, in an attempt to establish his own identity, formed a design-savvy partnership called Brown INQ in 2008. In 2016, he founded Studio OLA in continuation of his pursuit of design investigations and innovation. It was also a platform to contribute to the built environment and the expanding dialogue of architecture & urbanism in Nigeria. He has continued to work and develop several collaborations and partnerships with other local Architects, Designers & Practices towards the execution of successful projects.
Hassan Anifowose
An Architect and 3D Visualization expert with over 12 years of experience and a solid background in Design, Construction, and Entrepreneurship. A self-ascribed Superman Salesman.
Hassan is constantly working on the edge with interests in various subjects, including user experience, game design, and human building interaction.
Presently exploring new frontiers of BIM and Virtual Reality applications for improved project performance on construction projects; Hassan aims to improve productivity in the construction industry with technology.
