:: DIRECTION – GUIDELINES & SUBMISSION FORMAT ::

  • Check the guidelines and details on the official AWA flyer (below) and then register at http://awafoundation.net/awachallenge2014_registration.php.
  • You must work alone and not as a team.
  • You are to create and submit, either as a 2d entry or a 3d entry, a depiction of that place you long for. Please note the this is NOT necessarily an environment design or landscape… it’s simply you bringing your artistic skills to the fore and showing that imaginary place where you would like to be, or have wished to be at some point in the past.. It could be a space terrain, desert, a junkyard, a cave, a box, or just in a vacation spot or a corner of your room. This allows you to be real and abstract at the same time. However, this place doesn’t have to be one we know or have seen before.
  • To impress the judges you have to make it believable and as real as it could be… make them want to join you on a trip to this place, even though it’s in your headspace only.
  • To participate you need to be an AWA member. This is completely free of charge and you can very quickly and easily SIGN UP HERE FOR FREE MEMBERSHIP OF ANIMATION WEST AFRICA
  • Once a member, you must show work in progress (WIP) on the AWA forum.
