Project Name: Lekki Gardens Recreation Park
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Year: 2013
Project Details
In response to the client’s request about a portion of land to be converted to a recreation park, the Chronos Studeos team immediately set to work. Sketching, and conceptualizing with regards to people’s responses to parks within their neighbourhood. Before long, one of the numerous preliminary concepts was agreed upon and things started getting modelled up. First after the overall zoning, was the play zone which is the core and provides access to the park from all sides. An ivy-covered pergolas signature entrance was introduced as major pedestrian access. Other games areas were included alongside gazebos and concrete benches overlooking the static pool area inside which the signage wall sits.
Chronos’ moments
Quite a lot of polygons to handle because of the dense thicket shielding the public swimming pool from the street, this project took quite a considerable time to render. A seamless collaboration between the Lagos and London chronos teams, 3D models, proxies and xref files were synchronized realtime and without glitches. This was a tough but done conceptualization and design project.

Hello Hassan, I am so impressed with what I’m seeing, kudos! Please I am a final year student of Architecture at Federal Poly, Oko. I’ve struggled to make my designs look like what you have but I’m constrained with Archicad and Artlantis studio. Please what BIM software and rendering software do you work with? thanks and cheers!
Hi Obinwanne.. Archicad is fantastic, I am not so certain about Artlantis. Usually, we use Archicad and Revit then 3Dsmax and Vray to render. Wishing you all the best
Thanks for the clarification. I’ll have to get a 3Dmax software and Vray.
