Project Name: Mixed use building
Location: Lagos
Year: 2013
Project Details
With an increased occupancy ratio in the Lekki gardens environs, there came an urgent need to provide a mixed-use building which will double as a hotel and commercial building with let-able office spaces and a mall. On a 8,000 sqm parcel of land, this building was designed to have retail levels, mall levels and hotel levels with a lush roof garden. From conceptual sketches to space planning and massing, this building bears the identity of an efficient purpose-built development. A product of a detailed thinking, from a competent team of architects, this project is still in its conceptual development stage.
Chronos’ moments
The challenging part of this project was the creation of the dark marble water wall with ies lights from inside the waters. The moat at the entrance too was quite a feature, with fish swimming beneath visitors at the building entrance. Populating the roof garden pergolas was really interesting, however, as we had to deal with many polygons to ensure detailed renders.

Hello Hassan, I am so impressed with what I’m seeing, kudos! Please I am a final year student of Architecture at Federal Poly, Oko. I’ve struggled to make my designs look like what you have but I’m constrained with Archicad and Artlantis studio. Please what BIM software and rendering software do you work with? thanks and cheers!
Hi Obinwanne.. Archicad is fantastic, I am not so certain about Artlantis. Usually, we use Archicad and Revit then 3Dsmax and Vray to render. Wishing you all the best
Thanks for the clarification. I’ll have to get a 3Dmax software and Vray.
